LAX FACTS · Lacrosse is the National Summer Sport of Canada. · Canadians most commonly play Box Lacrosse, an indoor version of the game played by teams of six on ice hockey rinks where the ice has been removed or covered by artificial turf. · In Box Lacrosse the goal is smaller (4' X 4'9") than in Outdoor Lacrosse, and the goaltender wears much more protective padding. · In Box Lacrosse there is a shot clock and the attacking team must take a shot on goal within 30 seconds of gaining possession of the ball.
